Social Justice Book Discussion with the author Deborah Shlian
Description of Event : Time to start reading and join us for a stimulating discussion with the author and June Dreznick’s cousin! Silent Survivor is a work of fiction, yet the main plots as well as the many subplots are based on very real contemporary issues including PTSD, sexual assault in the military and college campuses and questionable biological warfare research.
Silent Survivor took first place for the Florida Writers Association’s Royal Palm Literary Award in the thriller category. It was recently announced as a Finalist for the Florida Authors and Publishers President’s Award.
